The MA in Liberal Studies and Fashion Studies consists of 30 credits, including a thesis (see topics of recent student theses in the Students section on this site). Three courses are required:  two core courses in Fashion Studies; and Introduction to Interdisciplinary Studies.

The uniqueness of Fashion Studies at MALS is that students are free to combine and design their own track of studies either within the other MALS tracks such as Digital Humanities; Individual Studies; New York Studies; Women and Gender Studies; Film Studies; and others or with other PhD courses offered at the CUNY Graduate Center  (see samples of these classes in the Course section of this site).
